Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital is excited to start offering animal chiropractic beginning in June of 2018. Dr. Gray will be completing a training program in Wellsville, Kansas at Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic that begins in February and ends in June of 2018. Dr. Gray will be evaluating and adjusting both large and small animals (yes, that includes cats!). We are very excited to add chiropractic work in addition to traditional therapies for a holistic approach to your animals’ health care!

Animals, both large and small, can benefit immensely from regular chiropractic care. Many of you are probably wondering: how do I know my animal needs to be adjusted? It’s simple really! A chiropractic adjustment can be beneficial regardless of whether they are showing any signs of disease/dysfunction. Chiropractic care is a great addition to routine wellness and can often aid in the prevention of musculoskeletal diseases and the changes in your animals’ body that result from them. Chiropractic adjustments can be a great addition to your animals’ routine general exam and preventative care.

Chiropractic adjustments are also a great way to improve performance in your large and small animal athletes. Some examples of animal athletes may be show/trail horses, barrel/rodeo horses, agility dogs and hunting dogs. Chiropractic adjustments impact the musculoskeletal system and in turn the nervous system which improves overall performance and function.

Stay tuned for more updates as Dr. Gray gets closer to the end of her chiropractic training!
