Dr Ann Yowell graduated Summa cum Laude from Morehead State University and in 1985 graduated with honors from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Yowell is our resident “cat lady”and is diligently working toward making our practice an official “Feline Friendly” one.  Her experience and calm personality make for an awesome addition to our clinic.

Dr. Matt Movassaghi was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2013, he graduated summa-cum-laude with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Genetics Minor from North Carolina State University. He then earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 from the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Matt is looking forward to joining Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital and establishing trustworthy client relationships within the local community. His medical interests include: anesthesiology, preventative wellness health, livestock production, emergency triage and critical care.

Dr Anna Cloninger is a native of Mount Pleasant, NC. After completing high school she enlisted in the United States Navy and served 4 years in Pearl Harbor, HI. She then decided to go back to school and graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biology.

She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Degree of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She practiced small animal medicine in Fayetteville, NC for 3 years where she developed an interest in surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine.

She then decided to return to her hometown and is very excited to join Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Katie grew up on a dairy farm in rural Maine, where her family still resides today. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy science from Virginia Tech in 2010 and went on to graduate with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.

After completing an equine medicine and surgery internship at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Reynolds is thrilleda to be returning home to North Carolina to practice both small and large animal medicine.

Amy grew up in a small farming community near the Outer Banks. After graduating from Manteo High School she went to NC State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science in 1998. She went on to Vet School at NC State where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Then in April of 2006 she decided the time was right to start her own practice with the intention of providing quality medicine and service to the community.
