I am writing to inform you that I will be resigning from my role as an associate veterinarian at Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital as of May 31st, 2021.
If you did not already know, Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital is the first clinic I have worked at since graduating from veterinary school in 2017. I initially moved to this area and started to gain experience practicing as a mixed animal veterinarian, but quickly found my niche working in the hospital with cats and dogs. I have learned so much during my time here, and I am so thankful for the past 4 years we have had together.
I genuinely appreciate the guidance and mentorship I have received from my colleagues over the years. It has been a pleasure to work with a team of doctors and support staff who have encouraged and assisted me in becoming a better veterinarian. I am also thankful to the clients who have entrusted me with the care of their pets.
As I move on to another chapter of my professional life, please know that I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to have worked with each of you.
Wishing you all the best,
Dr. Matt Movassaghi
In Addition from Dr. Jordan:
We are so sad to see Dr. Matt go, but life often takes us in different directions and we wish him the very best of luck in the next chapter of his life. Be sure to wish him luck next time you see him. We will only have him until the end of May.
We are diligently searching for additional veterinarians to join our team, but it is proving exceedingly difficult to fill those roles. I want clients to know that we are doing all that we can to continue to meet your needs. We are enacting some structural changes to make things run more efficiently so as not to waste opportunities to help your pet.
In doing so, we are asking all clients to arrive to their appointments 15min prior to their scheduled time and please do not be late. If you are late then we will need to reschedule you. If you know that there will be a conflict or need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so we can give your slot to another client whose pet is in need of being seen. We will still be open on Saturdays and hours that day will not change, but we will have to move to a single doctor on site and will not be able to schedule appointments after 12 noon.
We will strive to continue to offer great care and genuine compassion, but we will be stretched very thin until another doctor or doctors can be added. We hope our clients understand and continue to be patient with us as we adjust to current demand and resources.
Good luck, Dr. Matt.
I have been bringing my cats, Rowdy and Rebel, to Bearcreek for years.
I appreciate the great service I receive there!
Sincerely,
Linda Huntley
We are so sad to hear of Dr. Matt’s leaving the clinic. He has helped us with several of our pets. We will miss you and wish you the best in your new position.
Oh no! We hate to hear that you are leaving! You know that our “Choco” adores you! All we have to say to get him to do something is… let’s go see Dr. Matt! We love all of the vets at Bear Creek but you have always held a special spot because of the awesome care and concern you have given Choco and also the compassion you have shown when our sweet “Precious” and “Red” crossed the rainbow bridge. Good luck in your future endeavors! You are an awesome vet and you have truly found your calling!
Best of luck Dr Mat. You looked after Bo an Bently an Ellie an they were in the best of care. Even we lost Ellie on 3/ 31 the other day you did your best to keep her with us for a while longer. I also thank you for the times you called to check on her, than meant alot to us. Thanks again
Dr. Matt, I really hate to see you leave but I hope for the best for you in your new chapter in life. My Izzy loved you! I’ll never forget the 1st time you saw her…she’s so timid & not sure of strangers, but as you examined her & talked to her, she just looked up at you & stared as if she knew you would help her. That made me feel so much better! I appreciate you & I pray for much success as you move forward!
Dr. Matt will be missed but we will be delighted for him prosper in his new endeavor!
I greatly appreciate how compassionate Dr. Matt was when it became apparent that the time had come for beloved Tigger to be put to rest. I wish for you all of the best that life has to offer!
Such a tremendous loss for Bear Creek. We will be forever grateful for the care you gave to our corgi girl Sophie right up to being with us as she went to the rainbow bridge. You showed such compassion and we will forever remember your kindness.
I am so happy for you Dr. Matt, but hate to see you go! You have a long and amazing career in front of you. My Yuchi is heartbroken, you were her first boyfriend! Best of luck to you and your family.

Met Dr Matt for the first time today. His bedside manner, knowledge and compassion examining my cat, Nini were second to none. He listened to me, spent quality time doing an exam and answered all my questions and concerns about Nini’s situation. When trying to decide on best plan of treatment for her he gave me insight into the pros and cons of each option and helped me decide what was best for her and her quality of life .Although or hurt the ultimate decision was made that she would be suffering in the long run and I decided to do the humane thing and put her to sleep.Dr Matt was so good with Nini and me and my feelings.I’ll never forget how he treated us.Gid speed in your new adventure and thank you
